Recently we were up in Hokkaido for a family-related event (two of our nieces were graduating from university). As they attended different universities in different parts of Hokkaido, and what with Hokkaido being pretty wide, this involved quite a bit of traveling from A to B and C, before heading back to Tokyo. In total there were three flights as well as at least one train trip. So the pictures in this article (and the next, but this one in particular) have a certain "travel" feel to them.

This next one was a bit of a fluke. We were waiting around for our flight to be called, so I took some shots from the waiting area. I was using the "Noctilux" setting on the phone and intended to set the aperture to 8, which essentially puts the whole frame in focus, but I either forgot or did something wrong, because it came out like this. But I liked the effect, so I kept it.
