I believe that "dropped frames" is actually more of a video term than a photographic one, but it fits the subject.
I was recently at a station, hanging around as the trains were delayed (yes, this does happen in Japan as well). I thought I'd fill the time by trying to find pictures around the platform, which I did for a while. Then the train finally appeared, and as I boarded...I managed to drop the camera directly into the gap between the train and platform. The incredibly helpful staff came along with their long pole used for retrieving dropped items, but the camera wasn't where I'd dropped it, so I assume the train hit it and either moved it a fair distance, or basically disassembled it in a moment. In any case, that was the end of that camera. First time I've lost a camera that way in close on 20 years of taking photos, so I'm "lucky" that it wasn't an expensive machine.
Anyway. This is the last set of photos which I offloaded from said camera, so hope you like them!

A rather abrupt end to the photos from the LX100, but fortunately I have the iPhone to fall back on while I ponder my next camera-related move, so there should be more to come.
Thanks for looking!
