I've spent a lot of time reading books on photography and watching videos, as well as the actual act of taking pictures. This short set is an example of putting into practice a few things that I've picked up over the years. Specifically: 1) Find a spot and hang out there for a while. 2) Be patient and wait for a reason to take the picture. 3) Don't shoot only in portrait mode or only in landscape mode. 4) Try and create variation in the scene (even though it's the same place). And lastly (this is also something that turns up in Brian Eno's Oblique Strategies), 5) if something "unwanted" comes into the frame, see it as something you can use.
Hope you like these!
Slightly lower than average number of pictures this week, but more to come.
Thanks for looking!
This is a collection of posts. Some (most) have a particular theme, but some are just collections. I try to only include my best shots in here.
