Avoiding the obvious

Several areas of Tokyo have their "star attraction". Shibuya has the scramble crossing, Harajuku has Meiji Jingu and Takeshita street, Shinjuku has the high-rise district and the world's busiest station, and so on.

A couple of weeks ago I headed to Oshiage station, which is one of the closest stations to Tokyo's (literally) biggest attraction, the Skytree. As I was wandering around, I had the idea to try and get enough photos for an article - without including the Skytree at all. Firstly, I've photographed it before, and secondly I like to set myself a challenge now and then.

So the alternative title to this entry could be "Oshiage without the most obvious photographic subject there", but I prefer something slightly shorter. In any case, hope you enjoy the pictures.

This could be a recurring theme in the future, as it certainly makes you look for shots and not fall back on the easy option.

More to come in any case.

Thanks for looking!

This is a collection of posts. Some (most) have a particular theme, but some are just collections. I try to only include my best shots in here.

If you like what you see, please leave a message and I'll try to answer all comments.

Thank you!
