Chichibu
Chichibu, in Saitama prefecture, is said by some to have been the inspiration for the name "Titipu" in the Gilbert and Sullivan musical The Mikado. A piece of trivia (be it true or not) like that is enough to make me curious, so we went to see the actual Chichibu. The first main area was a large flower field, after which we took a short train journey to a sort of gorge. Both places were very popular with locals and tourists alike, and the weather was generally co-operative, so I got enough pictures for an article. Hope you like them!
