I really like the Epson R-D1 (and its variants), to the extent that I've had three or four of them over the years. They are, however, on the old side as digital cameras go, and my current one has started making a clicking noise and the shutter is not firing. From previous experience - one of the previous ones did the same thing - this suggests that something's going on inside the camera. Epson actually still service the R-D1XG (the last version, which is what I have now), but I don't know if "service" includes "fix outright". In any case, the RD-1 is currently out of commission, so that prompted me to put together a set of the most recent shots taken with it.
