With the almost comical increase in megapixel count we see these days (61 mp full frame from Sony, and Fuji have put out a 100 mp medium format body, at which Phase One and Hasselblad probably smile indulgently, saying "that's cute"), I thought it would be interesting to do a series of four posts, increasing the MP count in each one.
I've come to the realisation that I don't really get on with most new-generation "regular" cameras (more on that in the next post), so the four cameras in question are probably not a typical sample of what most people use. That's not to imply that my choices are better, just different.
So we're kicking off this one with a camera with 5 megapixels. Yes, that's right. Five. As I mentioned earlier, I picked up a Panasonic DMC-LC1 for almost nothing recently, and whoever used it previously took good care of it, as it still works flawlessly. Plus I like the way it renders; there's something nicely natural about it to me.
Hope you enjoy these!
The next entry - hopefully next week - will up the megapixel count. By how much? Check back and find out!
Thanks for looking!
This is a collection of posts. Some (most) have a particular theme, but some are just collections. I try to only include my best shots in here.
