This is the first in what will be several articles on a 2-week trip to the UK in which a lot of photos were taken.
Hope you like these!
First, a few from Haneda airport prior to departure.
A few obligatory in-flight, out-the-window shots:
Upon arrival in the UK, greeted by grey skies and rain, our first stop was Brighton, a place rather close to my heart. Upon arriving at our accommodation, I suggested a quick walk down to the seafront. I didn't take the camera, so of course the sun came out and made the west pier look all moody. Then the seagulls got in on the act. Luckily I had my phone to hand.
The next day, my wife wanted to go and see Seven Sisters, a series of chalk cliffs. While this was a nice idea, the weather reverted to type (grey, cold, wet), and I ended up with exactly one salvageable picture.
After returning to Brighton, I wanted to take another crack at the seafront area. The weather still wasn't that good, but it did make for some atmospheric effects.
A whole lot more to come from this trip.
Thanks for looking!
This is a collection of posts. Some (most) have a particular theme, but some are just collections. I try to only include my best shots in here.
