This set combines pictures from somewhere where my wife and I were almost the only people present, and pictures from somewhere where it's very close to impossible to go for any length of time without seeing people, unless you walk around with your eyes closed. 

The first place was in the vicinity of lake Shumarinai in Hokkaido, where we've actually been before, but this time it was on the cold side and apart from a couple of people fishing, it seemed deserted. The other place is, of course, Tokyo and surrounding areas, where people are basically everywhere.

This next one isn't Shumarinai, but I liked it enough to want to include it, and it fits the "nobody around" theme.

That the remaining pictures are also not Shumarinai should be fairly evident!
