I don't think we can say that Tokyo has a centre; if anything, it has several. I would certainly consider Shibuya to be one of them. A while back I went there to see an exhibition of photos by the great Saul Leiter, which was held high up in one of Shibuya's many tall buildings. This gave me a comparatively rare chance to get some pictures of the area from up high. Then I went back to where we live now, which is about 30-40 minutes by train outside Shibuya. The point of all this explanation: a mix of pictures from the absolute, mega-urban, centre of Tokyo and some from a more (by Tokyo standards) "semi-urban area with nature bits". If you've read this far, thank you, and hope you like these!
The next entry - hopefully up next week - will be on one of the topics which defines summer in Japan.
Thanks for looking!
This is a collection of posts. Some (most) have a particular theme, but some are just collections. I try to only include my best shots in here.
