When cameras fail

November 13, 2022  •  Leave a Comment

I've generally been fairly lucky with my cameras, but anything with electronics in it always carries the risk of going wrong, and that's what inspired this post. Fortunately (in a manner of speaking) the camera in question was one for which I paid extremely little in the first place, because even when I bought it it was several generations old. (It was the Olympus OMD-EM1, which I was using with the manual focus Canon lenses - which are in themselves way older than the camera, but don't have all the electronics in them, so they're likely to last a lot longer). That's also why the last entry (Makuhari Beach) was shot entirely on iPhone.

I don't have enough technical knowledge to know exactly what went wrong with the Olympus, so I'm just going to go with "stopped working". Anyway. These are the last shots from the said defunct camera. Hope you like them!

Time for a week off, I think, but more to come...just obviously not from this camera!

Thanks for looking!
