Fifteen shots without any people

August 16, 2015  •  Leave a Comment

To balance out the last post (fifteen shots featuring people) this entry is the exact opposite: fifteen shots in which people do not feature at all. Hardly a concept likely to win any prizes for originality, but there we go.

Besides the absence of homo sapiens, there is no particular theme to these. Enjoy!

A(nother) green world

When you get really nice light. almost anything makes a nice picture...

Fence and shadow

The sign says "preparing for business, will be serving from 6"

Wisteria

Slightly menacing looking tower

I call this "pre-storm light", as it combines with very dark skies to give the impression that some bad weather's on the way. It makes for quite dramatic pictures.

Expose to the right, but...

Sometimes you find a picture literally a one minute walk from where you live...

Leading lines

Shop wall with plant and dress (sometimes you can't think of a concise title!)

Mushroom

The well-known Japanese koi (carp)

Bridge over untroubled water

Flowers at graveyard

Hope you liked those. Summer in Japan means lots of shooting opportunities, so there's plenty more to come.

Thanks for looking!
