Apart from today (rain from morning to evening without a break), we've actually had some decent weather over this GW. (For non-Japan residents, it's a series of public holidays which amount to something like a week off, depending on job and various other things). Most people - and this seems to be a universal - get in their cars and voluntarily sit in colossal traffic jams. I didn't fancy that, and there was plenty going on in the local area, so I stayed in Nagoya.
A mix of shots from dance festivals and general around-the-city photography, coming right up.
These are the main buildings around Nagoya station, shot from an angle I'd never shot before: from a station just a little out from Nagoya station itself.

The garish underground shopping street
Part of a three day dance festival. More of these to come.
Arakogawa park, one of the parks in Nagoya I don't go to so often. It's quite pleasant, though.
The observant bird and the man on the bridge.
You don't have to be tall to stand out....

Last picture of this entry (with a nod to the late Esbjörn Svensson): definition and a dog.
Plenty of pictures left, so part 2 will follow in due course.
Thanks for looking!
This is a collection of posts. Some (most) have a particular theme, but some are just collections. I try to only include my best shots in here.
