Fireworks

July 29, 2012  •  Leave a Comment

I've never made a serious effort to shoot fireworks before, mainly due to laziness. Having read up on the best way to shoot them, one of the most common bits of advice is "get there about ten hours before it starts". I hate hanging around doing nothing, so that wasn't very motivating.

Still, I got around to it yesterday. Following the advice of the experts (tripod, F8 - F16, at least 4 seconds of exposure, remote control) and guess what? Their advice is spot on.

These are not perfect by a long shot, but they're far better than any fireworks shot I've shot before, mainly because I decided to do it properly this time.

This is a collection of posts. Some (most) have a particular theme, but some are just collections. I try to only include my best shots in here.
