Kyoto 2021, part 2: Kiyomizudera

I had not been to Kiyomizudera in a long time, so from a photographic perspective alone I was interested to see what I would get from it. As Japan is still pretty much not letting people in, there were fewer people than one might expect during peak cherry blossom season, but the place was still anything but empty. Fortunately, the Japanese tendency to wear masks was in full effect.

Kiyomizudera, and the area around it, is likely one of the most photographed places in Japan, let alone Kyoto, but there's a reason for that: it is visually extremely stimulating. Even after the editing process, I wound up with more photos than I usually put into an article. So today's article has a few more pictures than normal.
