Kyoto 2021, part 1

April 18, 2021  •  Leave a Comment

Lucky timing: the state of emergency for Tokyo was lifted just as we were planning on going to Kyoto for a weekend. Good thing we took the opportunity; as I type this, cases are going back up in Tokyo, and I wouldn't be surprised if further restrictions are announced.

The Saturday was a perfect combination of ideal weather and the cherry blossoms more or less at their peak. However, before we get to the Kyoto clichés (something can be both spectacular and a cliché), here's a selection of more "everyday" things.

Hope you like them!

The "obvious Kyoto stuff", as I like to call it, will be up in a week or two.

Thanks for looking!
