Self-contained

I was going through my iPhone to decide which pictures to keep, and I suddenly had an idea to try something I've not done before: post-process the pictures using only the functions on the the iPhone's camera itself. I knew that there were (relatively) rudimentary controls for exposure, etc, but I was curious to find out what could be done just by using those, rather than my usual method, which is currently Affinity Photo on the iPad - a far more complex piece of software.

I have to say that I'm happy enough with the results. You can't do things like local adjustments, nor is there (as far as I could tell) anything like cloning. healing, etc, but as long as you don't need to do anything like that, you can get a passable result. You're also starting with a jpeg, so assuming you shot it right in the first place you shouldn't need to do that much processing anyway.

So for this week, a selection of shots which began and ended in the iPhone (still using the 7 plus, but starting to look into a major upgrade). Hope you like them!

Plenty more to come, so hope you'll keep an eye out for updates.

Thanks for looking!

This is a collection of posts. Some (most) have a particular theme, but some are just collections. I try to only include my best shots in here.

If you like what you see, please leave a message and I'll try to answer all comments.
