Balancing act

February 07, 2021  •  Leave a Comment

I've found that the nature of the iPhone means that the "default" way to take photos is often using portrait orientation, i.e. with the phone held upright, rather than in landscape orientation, i.e. turned on its side. However - and this is yet another thing I picked up from watching Scott Kelby's videos with Jay Maisel - always having the camera in the same orientation could lead to visually boring content. So recently I've been trying to mix it up, and it seems like I've done so. As I was curating the pictures for this entry, it occurred to me that exactly half were shot in portrait orientation, and exactly half in landscape.

That's about the only theme that connects them, but I hope you enjoy them anyway!

I have some post-processing to catch up with, so depending on how that goes there will (or won't) be an article next week, but there will be more on the way.

Thanks for looking!

This is a collection of posts. Some (most) have a particular theme, but some are just collections. I try to only include my best shots in here.

If you like what you see, please leave a message and I'll try to answer all comments.

Thank you!
