Pictures à la sanpo

March 31, 2019  •  Leave a Comment

While I rarely have any trouble finding things to photograph (one of the definite advantages of living in a place like Tokyo), I do sometimes get stuck when thinking up titles for these articles. This was one such time, and I had to basically make something up. If you're a serious photographer and know your history, you'll probably have heard of "Images à la sauvette", probably the most famous collection of Henri Cartier-Bresson's early work. So I basically borrowed the idea and that's what we have. "Sanpo" is Japanese for "walk" (as in "take a"), and that's how I get most of my pictures : while walking from A to B. I've always got a camera of some kind on me, even if it's just the iPhone. Anyway, long winded explanation of the title over. Hope you like this selection!

I think there'll probably be a part 2 of this, hopefully next week.

Thanks for looking!
