The summer effect (1)

The "summer effect" is a term I just completely made up. At least I think I did. It refers to the fact that as summer comes along, the nature of summer in Japan (in a word, "ugh") means that you're less and less inclined to go long distances to take pictures because you'll probably melt before you get there, so you tend to stay in and around your local area. This also pushes you to see your local area in a different way, as it's easy to photograph in a place you've never been before, but tricker to make new and interesting photos of a place you see regularly.

This and the following entry are therefore mostly from the general area where I live. Hope you like them!

Second set of "summer effect" pictures should be up next week.

Thanks for looking!
