The return of the festivals
Summer in Japan means several things, including but not limited to sweltering heat and stifling humidity, fireworks, and festivals. I went through my "firework phase" many years ago, and getting to shoot them means getting up at a ridiculous time to find a space, set up a tripod, etc., so that was off the agenda. The pandemic ensured that festivals took a backseat for a couple of years, but they seem to be back in full swing again.
These are from a recent festival in my local area. Hope you like them!
