When I was reading up on the X Vario (before acquiring it), I read some comments to the fact that it had a particularly nice way with rendering colour. My initial impressions are that while the colour rendition isn't noticeably better than some other cameras I've used, it's certainly not any worse either, and certainly merits the description "pleasant". And so it was as good a choice as any to shoot the (now all but disappeared) autumn colours - one of the few things I consider that it is almost mandatory to photograph in Japan.
There were a lot of good opportunities last autumn, so there will be two entries on this annual extravaganza of colour. Hope you enjoy them!
