Obviously/not (1)

July 03, 2022  •  Leave a Comment

I've been taking photos for around 15 years, which is longer than some people and a lot less than others. In that time, I've come to understand that there are certain photographic subjects which might be considered "obvious" and others which might be considered "not obvious". The former would be the things that most people shoot: family and friends, nature, events, sightseeing things, and, increasingly, themselves. The latter would be something you see and don't initially think "that's something I could photograph", but if you look at it longer or from a different perspective, you see something worth capturing.

This and the next article are a mix of both of these things. Which is which, I'm not saying, because people will perceive "obvious" and "not obvious" differently. In any case, hope you like them.

The concluding "obvious / not" set will hopefully be up in a couple of weeks.

Thanks for looking!
