Kyoto 2021, part 3: Walking, thinking

The Philosopher's walk (or "path") is another of Kyoto's major attractions. It runs alongside a canal and is, according to Google, about two kilometres in length. And, for the linguistically minded, the Japanese name for it is slightly different from the "official" translation, as it comes out as the "Philosophy path", not "Philosopher's path". However, the name is less important than the sights, so here they are.

As I was doing this walk with friends, I actually took comparatively few shots here, so the rest of these are from Maruyama park, which is (apparently) supposed to have the Most Super Amazing Sakura (cherry blossom) Tree In All Of Japan, or All of Kyoto, or something like that. (One of Japan's interesting quirks is the national obsession with categorising and ranking things). I didn't see the big deal, but I did come back with some other interesting pictures.

I'll have one more entry from Kyoto ("uncategorised"), which should be up in a week or two.

Thanks for looking!

This is a collection of posts. Some (most) have a particular theme, but some are just collections. I try to only include my best shots in here.

If you like what you see, please leave a message and I'll try to answer all comments.

Thank you!
