The two extremes, part 1

I traded in some gear recently, and the price I got for it happened to be pretty much equal to what I was considering picking up: a Canon EOS R6 with a 50mm 1.8 lens. A 50 1.8 is one of the most commonly used lenses, both in terms of focal length and max aperture, and I think it's safe to call it a normal lens - which is in no way an insult. I also picked up another lens, which is very much not a normal lens, and that will be the subject of the next article. For now though, some shots from the 50.
