The year of the phone?

January 10, 2021  •  Leave a Comment

A few posts back I mentioned that I was "downsizing" my photographic equipment to one camera, one lens, and my phone. That has now gone one step further: the camera and lens have been sold, and the phone remains. As far as I can recall, this is the first time since I started getting into photography that I have not had a "camera camera", as I call them (i.e. a device the sole purpose of which is taking photos).

This wasn't some grand plan; it just sort of happened over time. And, surprisingly, I don't miss the "camera cameras" yet. Of course there's no guarantee that this state of affairs will continue, but for now it's just the phone.

Anyway. Here is a selection of fairly recent photos taken with said phone. Hope you like them!

As much of a cliché as it is, it is true that one nearly always has one's phone to hand, so there is no excuse to not be looking out for interesting photos.

Accordingly, there should be plenty more to come.

Thanks for looking!
