Three sensors walk into a bar (1)

July 14, 2019  •  Leave a Comment

With my recent acquisition of the Panasonic DMC-LC1, it occurred to me that I now have three different sensor types among 4 cameras. The Olympus OMD-EM5 uses a CMOS (as does the iPhone), the Sigma DP 0 Quattro of course uses the Foveon, and the Panasonic has a CCD. So that gave me an idea for the next few entries : one sensor, one article. For no particular reason, I'm going to start with Foveon. No particular theme beyond "Tokyo", but hope you like them anyway!

To finish up this article, a sequence of four shots from the same angle. I can't remember precisely where this was, but when I saw the small area of light, I knew that it would look good when someone walked through it.

Next article will either feature the CCD of the Panasonic, or the CMOS of the Olympus and the iPhone.

Thanks for looking!

This is a collection of posts. Some (most) have a particular theme, but some are just collections. I try to only include my best shots in here.
