I was in England recently (pictures to come in a later article) and I saw in a magazine a Q and A with Sadiq Khan, the current Mayor of London. He mentioned that London is "47 per cent green" and that his aim was to get that figure to 50 per cent. It did strike me that London is somewhat more green - visually speaking - than Tokyo, although the fact that I live near the centre of Shinjuku may well have something to do with that.

This entry, though, is pretty green. One hour out by train from central Tokyo is Mt. Takao, a mountain of some repute for visitors. We decided to go and see. The day we chose happened to be pretty foggy, so views from the top were nonexistent, but there was still plenty to see (and shoot) on the way, and the absence of sun (and presence of the fog) made for some interesting atmospheric shots. I hope this also goes to show that it's always worth having a camera with you whatever the weather (within reason; I wouldn't personally go out shooting in a typhoon, but others might).
