Yokohama and Tokyo

April 13, 2012  •  Leave a Comment

The second day of a two day trip took in a little of Yokohama and then on to what is almost certainly my favourite place on the planet.

Yokohama first. I chanced upon a nice little area named 水の広場公園, roughly "Water Square Park". I like the contrast of nature and manmade, so....

and

There was also the pretty entertaining sight of a row of birds sitting on the mooring chain of a ship

After leaving Yokohama, we were on the train to Tokyo, which is almost certainly my favourite place on the planet. Stockholm may come close, but Tokyo is such an assault on the senses that it never fails to amaze, however many times I go there.

We took a boat ride from Odaiba to Hamamatsu-Cho

We didn't have that much time in Tokyo, so I picked a couple of places and went there. Firstly, Shibuya (just so I could get pictures of the crossing)

People, people everywhere

Came across these extroverts who posed without being asked

Then on to Ginza. I wanted to go and see the Leica store (just to drool at the things in there) but it was closed. Too bad. Instead, I took some shots of reflections in the buildings.

Just to round it all off, I saw someone driving one of these (and while you do see the odd Ferrari around here and there, I don't recall the last time I saw a Lambo ANYWHERE)

Very Tokyo.

This is a collection of posts. Some (most) have a particular theme, but some are just collections. I try to only include my best shots in here.
