Recently traded in some lenses which I didn't use much, and ended up with one of Nikon's more mysterious creations: the 105mm F2 DC (Defocus control). This is a patented technology which allows the photographer to control the quality of the background blur, to make it smoother or rougher as the situation demands. A relatively inexpensive way to get really nice bokeh (sure beats having to get a Leica and one of their superexpensive lenses...I have no doubt that they can match this thing for nice blur, but for the price they command they'd better make my tea, make me King of the World and polish my shoes while they're at it).
It's going to take some time to tame this thing, but so far I like what I'm getting from it.

And the obligatory cherry blossom shot (mind you, they've all fallen off by now)
This is a collection of posts. Some (most) have a particular theme, but some are just collections. I try to only include my best shots in here.
