I just recently got back some film scans which I had made into a CD. Most, if not all, are from a recent trip to Hokkaido (see previous posts for the digital shots from this). Most were shot on Velvia 100 if memory serves. Some are quite nice, but it's clear that I still have a way to go before I can shoot film like I shoot digital.
This one's from Nakasendo, sometime earlier this year (there's a three part post on it back in the archives)
As is this one
I think this one is, as well
Fun in the park: literally a ten minute walk from where I live
Furano, in Hokkaido
I could have lightened the lower part of the picture in Photoshop, but as far as possible I want to upload these without any alterations. The main focus is of course the guy doing his thing up in the sky.
More of the area's main attraction: lavender. The initial shots are from a place where there were relatively few visitors, because there are several such areas around this neck of the woods, and one is far more famous (read: crowded) than the others.
Getting to the more famous area (it's called Tomita Farm), the challenge is to find a shot without any people getting in the way.
I didn't quite get the focus right on this next one, but I like how it came out nevertheless.
And this one came out nicely too, with the light pouring through the trees
I used up the Velvia at one point but I don't remember exactly when it was. I think the next shot was on Superia 400. Nice colours, either way.
This next one was from the platform of the station
Lastly, a few more nature shots.
Playing with the polarising filter
Thanks for looking! Currently working through the files from the Dommanaka dance festival, so that should be up in a while.
This is a collection of posts. Some (most) have a particular theme, but some are just collections. I try to only include my best shots in here.

Thank you!
