Tokyo 2014-15: Meiji Shrine

January 18, 2015  •  Leave a Comment

Meiji shrine is one of Japan's "big three", the other two being Ise Shrine in Mie prefecture and Atsuta Shrine in my own town of Nagoya. The legendary "three treasures" of Japanese mythology are said to be housed at these three, each holding one. How true this actually is is somewhat open to debate, but that's another topic for another time.

A lot of the shrine is actually composed of long paths with not a whole lot on them, so for those I was looking for interesting light. There's also a separate section (which costs a modest amount to enter), and I hadn't been in there before.

Twenty pictures from Meiji shrine therefore coming up!

I got somewhat lucky with the light here, so that was nice.

Plenty more where that came from, so hope to see you again soon.

Thanks for looking!
