Autumn in Japan, part 1

Time for the regular riot of colour which accompanies the (very brief) Japanese autumn. While they are inordinately proud of their "four seasons" and refuse to believe that any other country in the world has the same phenomenon, they neglect to mention that spring and autumn last about three minutes each before giving way to a five month summer and a five month winter, respectively.

But in those three minutes (speaking non-literally) there are some pretty spectacular sights to be seen, so here's part 1.

The rest will be in the next entry and include a few on Velvia 50 - which, I learned, is not very tolerant of errors in metering.
