...as in "No Overall Theme". But they say a provocative title attracts more people, so I thought it would be worth a go!
As the title suggests, this is just a compilation of recent shots which have no unifying theme (other than they were all shot with the same camera). Some are from festivals, some from local walks in the park (literally), others are just shots I happened to get while I was out and about.
They're also not in chronological order. So it's a real random selection. The only common point is that I like them enough to consider them worth showing.
Firstly, a shot from Osu, a popular local shopping arcade. The light was pretty crazy. One black and white conversion and several photoshop adjustments later and we get this.
Nagoya Castle twice:
Man exercising in park
Banner
Birds. Don't ask me how the Sigma locked onto this fast enough. I recently set the Custom focus limiter to its maximum, and it does increase focusing speed a little, but I have to admit to being surprised that it caught this.
The ladies with crepes on their heads
Patterns (and, if you look close, you'll see a dragonfly on the 6th full segment in of the row of mini-logs)
Hoist the flags
Trumpet parade
Ikebana exhibition
It was a beautiful day with great light. Pity the band were playing a particularly lifeless version of "You've got a friend", which is hardly the most blood-pumping song ever recorded.
Cool evening jazz
More jazz. This one looked better after converting to black and white
Lucky timing (me, not the cat)
Construction workers
Riding high
Everyone's a photographer!
Pretty evening light with planes
Music on the move
Artistic perch
Street fortunetelling.
That's cleared most of the backlog for the time being!
Thanks for looking!
This is a collection of posts. Some (most) have a particular theme, but some are just collections. I try to only include my best shots in here.
