Tokyo and Düsseldorf, part 3
Final part of this little photographic journey
We had some time before the return train trip, so the obvious place is the imperial palace grounds which are not that far from Tokyo Station itself. First, however, we had breakfast at an old-style cafe. And I mean old-style. Check out the cash register.
Then on to the grounds.
This next "old and new" shot absolutely required HDR; it was so bright that even to the human eye, the boards under the eaves of the wooden building at the bottom of the picture were pure shadow.

And that was that for Tokyo.
