Digital isn't dead yet

While I'm having a blast shooting film, it doesn't mean I'm done with digital. I was on the way back from work yesterday, and the route takes me through one of the main roads that runs through central Nagoya. It was a sunny day, about 6 in the evening, and the light was excellent. I had the Merrill with me (it's not exactly heavy, so I take it pretty much everywhere). On top of that, for some reason I was seeing well. So I took quite a few photos, and a far larger amount than normal made the cut.

Some "street photography" (whatever that actually means)

The next "stop" was Oasis 21, Nagoya's main bus centre, designed around a UFO-shaped...thing. Whatever it is, it provides some interesting views. We're heading towards Tanabata (a major Japanese festival), which means these things are hanging around everywhere

It's a nice place to "people watch" too

The last few shots are from earlier today

Trying out the Merrill with action. On paper, the Merrill is about as suited to sports as a Canon 1DX with an 800mm lens is suited to close-up street photography, but you can sort of fake it.

Thanks for looking!
