臨機応変 - playing it by ear, part 3

July 09, 2012  •  Leave a Comment

Last part of the Tokyo trip, encompassing whatever didn't make it into the first two posts.

One thing I've started doing a lot is shooting trees or other natural things against glass or steel, i.e. manmade structures. This came about from watching the famous New York photographer Jay Maisel do the same thing on a video. It struck me as an interesting thing to shoot.

People looking for the "old" Japan don't generally come to Tokyo - they head to Kyoto and Nara - but this bookstore sign seemed pretty old

Some mandatory reflection shots

Dark skies with cranes

Small waterfall at a park in Hiroo

Streetlamps around Asakusa

That's it for Tokyo this time round. Hope you enjoyed the pictures and feel free to leave comments.

This is a collection of posts. Some (most) have a particular theme, but some are just collections. I try to only include my best shots in here.
